F. Howard Digby-Johns
BSc FCMA MHCIMA MTS MIM

Proprietor

Howard is from Devon, holds a degree in hotel management and is a qualified accountant and bon viveur. He was admitted as a partner in Price Waterhouse in 1983, withdrew from the PricewaterhouseCoopers World Firm in 2001 but remains a Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Development Associates

The Green Man brings Howard back to his Hospitality Industry roots, and he brings to The Green Man pleasurable experiences gleaned from a business life resident all over Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and to a lesser extent to Australasia and the Americas.

Howard’s abiding interests of spectacular food, wine, cigars, music, and ancient knowledge are drawn together in The Green Man, his ideal English pub. It has also made him Baillie of La Chaine des Rôtisseurs in Phuket. But what you will find at The Green Man may surprise you, because hidden in its labyrinthine corners are things that only a globetrotter could bring. And that thinks Howard is just how an English Country Pub should be.

He continues to spend much of his time consulting for a number of international  clients, including several Heads of State.

His favourite font is Anisette.
