In the opening ceremony of The Green Man on 1^st May 2001 Morris dancers celebrated His birth.
We used a coconut and a banana tree in the foundation ceremony. The coconut representing longevity, and the banana representing resilience.
The Sprits in the Green Man site were propitiated by a Muslim Mystic (they are best at that sort of thing).  
Nine monks, who were the very first to eat here, blessed the Green Man on its opening.
