When The Green Man was planned, we consulted a Buddhist mystic on propitious dates for laying the first stone of The Green Man, and for opening it. Based only on the birthdays of the sponsors, and using ancient Sanskrit sources, he came-up with 5^th November and 1^st May. Amazingly these dates are The Green Man’s Death Day and Birthday respectively.
