This 'Iron Man' challenge is a non-stop Charity Run up to the Big Buddha, on Saturday June 26^th starting from The Green Man at 11.00am. The run will be followed by a sale of donated items (2.00pm) at The Green Man, and then by a stunning ‘Cancer Busting’ Benefit Buffet Dinner from 7.00pm also at The Green Man.  During dinner, a raffle of 60,000 Baht’s worth of very desirable prizes donated by local businesses will be held. An auction of a Lifetime Membership to the Royal Phuket Marina Health Club valued at 95,000 Baht will also be included.

 All proceeds will be equally divided between the charities:

Phuket Has Been Good To Us, and CANCER RESEARCH UK.

The run, by John Shanks (26) is part of a series of challenges to raise money for Cancer Research in commemoration of his Mum who died of Breast Cancer five years ago.  John is the son of long term Phuket resident, Sandy Shanks.

Wine Tasting

The theme will be " A Bottle with J or K or L"

Bring a bottle each as a ticket, let us know your bottle in advance.

We will do the tasting note and arrange some nibbles to go with it.

And as always we will taste them blind and see which team will win this tasting.

THE WORLD CUP WEDNESDAY “MUST WIN” FOR ENGLAND

England has a Grand Strategy. The side that wins will be the one that improves most over the tournament. So, in the Final England must be Magnificent and in The Semi Final it must be Good. It necessarily follows that in the Quarter Finals England must be Not Very Good, and in the opening matches it must be Awful. So far everything is going according to plan.  But much depends on you! You need to be at The Green Man for England’s first MUST WIN match on Wednesday at 9 p.m..  MATCH COMMENTARY IN ENGLISH of course ON THE BIG SCREEN. Chang Towers at 360 Baht for 3 litres.

The only member of the England Squad not to need inoculations to go to South Africa was Green. It seems he can’t catch anything.
